Privacy Policy
JPB Software Solutions LLC · Last updated October 5, 2026. This policy explains what happens to information when you use jpbsoftwaresolutions.com and marketing.jpbsoftwaresolutions.com.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by JPB Software Solutions LLC ("JPB", "we"), a software engineering company. The site presents our engineering services and also hosts JPB-operated editorial content: product comparison guides, buying guides and reviews, some of which contain affiliate links.
Our product comparison guides and our Spanish-language power station guide have their own, more specific policies: Product Comparisons Privacy Policy and Política de privacidad — Estaciones de energía para apagones. This policy covers the corporate website and any page not covered by those policies.
2. Information we collect
The site has no account, login, checkout or contact form. We do not ask for your name, postal address, phone number or payment details. If you email us, we receive the information you choose to include in that email and use it only to reply.
3. Information collected automatically
Like any website, our hosting provider processes standard technical request data — such as IP address, browser and device type, referring page and time of request — to deliver pages and keep the service secure. The site also uses the browser storage described in section 10.
4. Advertising and measurement technologies
The Google tag for Google Ads (AW-18485485335) is installed on this site. In addition, we use the Taboola Realize Pixel only for advertising traffic that arrives from Taboola campaigns, and only on the specific campaign page those ads point to, subject to applicable privacy and consent requirements. Visitors who do not arrive from a Taboola ad are not tracked by Taboola through this site. We do not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager containers, Microsoft UET, Microsoft Clarity, the Meta Pixel, remarketing audiences, Customer Match, Enhanced Conversions or fingerprinting.
When the Taboola pixel runs, Taboola may receive the page address, a page-view event, browser and device details and Taboola cookie identifiers. We do not send calculator answers, appliance selections, household details or other form inputs to Taboola. The topic of a page describes its content, not its visitors; we do not infer nationality, ethnicity, immigration status, political views or any other sensitive characteristic from the pages someone visits. Rejecting or opting out in Your Privacy Choices, or sending a Global Privacy Control signal, keeps the Taboola pixel off. See the Taboola Privacy Policy.
5. Google advertising
We use Google Ads and its measurement tools to measure advertising performance, understand whether an ad interaction leads to actions on this site, attribute conversions and improve our campaigns. Google may use cookies or similar online identifiers for this measurement. Specifically:
- Ad click ID (GCLID). When you arrive from a Google ad, the
gclidvalue in the address is kept in your browser's session storage for the current visit only. On the TedsWoodworking review it is added, unchanged, to the ClickBank link so a later sale can be credited to that ad. It is not combined with any other information about you. - Affiliate click conversion. When you click a TedsWoodworking offer link, the site reports a "click to offer" conversion to Google Ads. It carries a fixed nominal value used for campaign bidding — it is not purchase revenue.
- Outbound product clicks. On comparison guides, clicking a retailer link sends a
product_outbound_clickevent to Google describing the page, product, retailer and button position (for example product name and merchant). It describes the content you clicked, not who you are.
None of these send your name, email, phone number, postal address or any sensitive characteristic. Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services: Google — How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and the Google Privacy Policy.
6. Microsoft Advertising
We may run campaigns on Microsoft Advertising (Bing). Microsoft Universal Event Tracking (UET) is not currently installed on this site, so Microsoft does not receive information from this site through UET today. If you click a Microsoft ad, Microsoft processes that ad click under its own policies. If we enable UET in the future, Microsoft may collect or receive information from visitors or from us through that tag to provide advertising services — including measurement, conversion attribution, reporting and ad performance — and we will update this section before it goes live. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
7. Affiliate links
Some links on JPB-operated comparison guides, buying guides and reviews are affiliate links. Links to Amazon are Amazon Associates links; as an Amazon Associate, JPB Software Solutions LLC earns from qualifying purchases. TedsWoodworking links go through the ClickBank marketplace. When you click one you leave our site, and the merchant may use its own cookies and identifiers to attribute the referral under its own privacy policy. We never see your payment details. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
8. How we use information
- To deliver, secure and troubleshoot the website.
- To measure which advertising brings visitors and which content they act on.
- To attribute affiliate referrals to the right campaign.
- To reply to emails you send us.
We do not build profiles about individual visitors, and we never infer or use sensitive characteristics — such as nationality, ethnicity, immigration status, health, religion or political views — for advertising. Visiting a page about a topic is treated only as interest in that content.
9. How information may be shared
We do not sell personal information for money. Information is shared only as described here: with Google through the Google tag; with affiliate merchants and networks (Amazon, ClickBank) when you click their links; with our hosting provider to run the site; and where required by law. Under some US state laws, the use of advertising cookies may count as "sharing" or "targeted advertising" — see section 11 to opt out.
10. Cookies and similar technologies
- Google advertising cookies/identifiers — set by Google through the Google tag for ad measurement and attribution, subject to your choices below.
jpb_gclid(session storage, first-party) — the Google ad click ID for the current visit; cleared when you close the tab.jpb_cookie_consent(local storage, first-party) — remembers your privacy choice, the date you made it and the notice version.- Merchant cookies — set by Amazon or ClickBank on their own sites after you click an affiliate link.
You can block or delete cookies and site storage in your browser settings; the site will still work.
11. Your privacy choices
Use "Your Privacy Choices" in the footer of any page, or the button below, to opt out of advertising cookies. When you opt out, the site tells Google to stop using advertising storage for you and to apply Restricted Data Processing. Your choice is saved in your browser.
Depending on the state you live in, US privacy laws may give you rights to know, access, correct or delete personal information and to opt out of targeted advertising. These rights differ by state, and not every visitor has the same rights. To make a request, email us (section 18). We will not treat you differently for exercising your choices.
12. Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, the site treats it as an opt-out: advertising storage is denied and Restricted Data Processing is applied automatically, even if you previously allowed it.
13. Data retention
The ad click ID is kept only for your browser session. Your privacy choice stays in your browser until you clear it. Emails you send are kept only as long as needed to handle your request. Google, Amazon and ClickBank retain data under their own policies.
14. Data security
The site is served only over HTTPS. It contains no private credentials in browser code; the Google Ads tag ID shown above is a public identifier designed for browser use.
15. Children's privacy
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
16. International visitors
Our audience is primarily in the United States. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, advertising cookies are off by default (Google Consent Mode) and are only enabled if you accept them in the notice shown to you. You can withdraw consent at any time through "Your Privacy Choices".
17. Changes to this privacy policy
We will update this policy when the site changes — for example, before adding any new advertising or analytics technology. The date at the top shows the latest version.
